Knoll Risom Lounge Chair

RISOM LOUNGE CHAIR One of the first designers to bring traditional Scandinavian values to the United States, Jens Risom was part of a new vanguard that helped establish post-war America's leadership role in modern furniture design and manufacturing. In 1941, Risom designed the first full line of furniture to be manufactured by Knoll. Originally constructed of simple birch wood frames and discarded parachute straps because of wartime material restrictions, the Collection exhibits Risom's taste for well-crafted Scandinavian Modernism with streamlined curves and angles.
The chairs and stool are available today in a variety of webbing colors and frame finishes.
